what is "quite cheap?" i know the racetec FMIC is $899 through rennart.com and i know there is very very minor trimming needed to make it fit under stock bumper

unless its a tiny *** intercooler some cutting will be required in like 99% of all FMIC setups

Theres nothing that says it couldnt be done. As long as you have piping made to fit properly. What about the DV?

you can run the stock turbo outlet hose only rotated and then you dont have to worry about the Dv it will just be stock spot... IMO you can make a kit for alot less than you can buy one

I installed the RaceTec FMIC on my car 2 weeks ago.

I didn't have to trim the bumper or the bumper support but you will need to cut out a chunk of the radiator support.
You can keep your fog lights but you will need to trim the back of the lower grills to get them to fit over the piping.

I need to trim a little material off the secondary air pump bracket but haven't doen it yet. The system works fine as is but it looks like there could be problems down the road due to the couplings rubbing against the bracket if I don't trim the bracket up now.

Choas...there is nothing functionally wrong with the ebay FMICs. The issues are when it comes time to install them. The problem with the B5 is the lack of space to in which to install a FMIC behind your stock bumper.

Any muffler shop could put you some piping together.
