Ok so I found the two ballons that were ******* under my car, it is my driver side lower two ball joints.

I was thinking of grease needle stabbing them, but if I were to replace them, do I need to buy a whole control arm assembly or do they pop out?

Any suggestions of a good part vendor for this, and how much the parts cost? And labor level?

you have a B5, right? have you gone to the dealer to see if you qualify for the service action? they may replace your front lower arms for free

 

I had the dealership run the VIN Thru and the tie rod end service recall on mine was done already :-(

 

the service action i'm talking about is for the front lower control arms. but they probably would've told you about it if your car qualified. you can buy individual control arms from almost anywhere. check ecstuning, ebay, world impex

 

bite the bullet and get the whole kit (upper and lower) from ECS. i find that if you replace certain parts without others, you end up chasing the problem for a long time and buying everything anyway.

 

The joints are inseperable from the actual arm.
