Front calipers need help
well i did not let fluid out. but i was riding with some metal against metal for a week and one night we had all this rain here in atlanta i came out to drive one morning and my wheel was rusted looking i wonder if the fluid leaked out cause when i got to the caliper there was only one brake pad so it sounds like the other pad just desentgrated and feel out.
Sounds like you waited a littel too long to change the pads. When caliper pistons get fully extended they can get a little cockeyed in the cylinder, making it really difficult to compress. As a last resort you may want to totally disconnect the caliper. This will make it easier to manipulate and compress. And if you take it apart, you will also be able to inspect the inside of the caliper to check for any damage in the cylinder
2.8audia4 I just pulled all of my calipers off to paint them and when putting them back on, I used like everyone else..a c clamp and had no problems at all....you might have hurt the actual piston by running on the bare metal and making it have to extend all the way out. But good luck with getting them back on.
Yeah you got to watch out when you press back some pistons
if the ABS was activated and it was applyed you might have to open the bleeder
to relase some fluid.....
I dont think this happined but anything can happin
and by the sound of it.
