normally, I would agree. however, we're talking about holes that are about as big as this "O". I really doubt you're going to see a crack in a patch of bondo that size, if it did ever crack.

but that little glob of bondo dosent have enough surface are to hold onto.. so it will just pop out over time
if you really must do it with bondo.. take and cut small pieces of sheet metal, and epoxy them behind the holes.. then bondo the top and finish
