Default BIG Oil Leak

So i was at the races the other night and on the way out of this industrial area i caught air on the 4 way intersection. i must have caught about a foot of air and well this morning i woke up and all the oil leaked out of my car onto the driveway... so i cursed alot then cursed some more and then decided to see what the problem was. i took off that bottom plastic catch pan thing and saw that nothing had oil on it except the oil pan... i would guess that i broke the oil pan somehow. i am wondering if audi sells the bottom of the oil pan and gaskets and w/e and if this is an easy job to do? could there possibly be anything else i effed up that would make the oil leak? any ideas?

I wouldnt call it easy. Clean up as much of the mess as you can and then refill with oil and see where the leak is coming from exactly. Its probably the oil pan though. Of course, Audi sells any part you would need. Im not sure whats all involved exactly in replacing it, but I know it takes more than a few hours. I think you have to disconnect the engine mounts. Some people just weld it shut and hope they never have to do any bottom end engine work, i dont recomend that, but it would be the ultimate fix [&:]

well we were in some industrial area i was doing like 60 and all of a sudden a saw a shadow right in front of me and before u no it me and my buddy in the car were ******* flying lol... it sucks but anyways i cant understand why it would be so hard to do? any1 have a write up or something? it seems like it would be a few bolts a gasket and the bottom of the pan comes right off. ??

The pan is tucked in nicely making access to it a little harded than on some cars.

y u wanna replace your pan so much, you dont even know if it's broken yet, all u may have to do is tight it lil or you check your bolt, and if u did broke your pan i think you would see some marks and your plastic cover would be f****. some one already told you clean it up, refill and go from there. good luck!
