I saw this info while buying Audi A4 Shocks.

Late 2001 models introduced a slight change to the front lower spring perch.
This will require replacing the spring perch with an earlier model, or aftermarket shocks which include a new perch.

Has anyone got into any problem related to this.
How would I find out if my 2001 A4 1.8T AWD have this issue. I have no idea which month this change was introduced in.

Alright, I found out that 2001 A4 has Front Lower Spring Perch in either of two forms.

1. Vented (Early Models)
2. Rounded (Late Models)

My Audi happens to have ROunded Perch (Late Model).

I'm looking to buy NeuSpeed Sport Springs. (P/N # 55.02.43)
Also Koni Sports Shocks to go with it (2-82.2502 SPORT - Front ; 2-8210.1162 SPORT - Rear)

My question is for anone who has late A4 model, and is using Neuspeed or H&R SPrings.
Did you have to replace the spring perch with an earlier model ??
