rear wheel bearings

Default rear wheel bearings

Is it hard to replace the rear wheel bearings?I have a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro the drivers side rear is making a loud noise.Any help would be appreciated.

Before you do the bearing, make sure it isn't the tire. switch the tire to another location. If the noise follows the tire, it isn't the bearing.

If it is the bearing it is not hard to take apart. I did it in my garage in onlt a few hours with waiting for the press work from the auto parts store

I think I have the same problem. My car squeaks like a bi*tch from the rear driver's side wheel. And you can mostly hear it in low speeds. Is that a bearing or no?

Hmmm.....I'm getting a creaking noise whenever I come to a complete stop and for a short time after starting from a complete stop. This would seem to be break related but I'm not so sure. Any ideas? I've been told it could be a bushing probem.

What year is your car? Where is the creaking coming from? Front, rear, left, right?

i have the same prob with mine, but im almost positive its my control arms. 76k miles and im not sure if they have been replaced.
