Default front sensor question

I took my front sesnsor out and they were all rusted. Everything was rusted inside. Are they suppose to be lubbed up or something like that..or should I replace them? I have 100,000mi on board. Any help will be appreciated.

At 100k miles and if it's all rusted, I would say you had great service from it and I would consider a replacement.

they are not lubed up they should be totally sealed in plastic/bakelite so if you can see inside the sensor and its rusted in there its bad and a replacement will be required
