Default **** you grill!

[sm=rant.gif]

well i thought that i would show my Audi some love tonight and take off my grill .. sand down the chrome finish and paint it black.. might as well its a free mod.. so i go out and try to start popping out the grill.. its dark out which added to the challenge... my handy dandy flashlight wasnt worth a ****.. and since im not in my new house yet i have no garage.. after about 5 minutes of aggravation of trying to get the tabs to pop and get the grill to come out ... i threw the flashlight in the woods and called it quits.. i expected it be a cakewalk.. but instead im impatient and it pissed me off.. lol .. ill try tommorrow in the day light

lol i just did this yesterday, at first i got really pissed but it just took a little patience and once i figured out how to do it it took like a minute. i only took the chrome part off, i didnt remove the whole grill. what i did was i took a flathead screwdriver and wedged it into the two tabs shown in the pic below. after those are lose move to the back of the grill, there are little metal tabs all the way around, take the screw driver and wedge each tab up and then push it out (this shouldnt take much effort so dont force it). after all these tabs are pushed out simply move around to the frount again and pull the chrome part off.

yea i was planning on taking the whole thing off too, but i couldnt figure out how and i didnt want to end up breaking any of the tabs so i just took the chrome part off, which fit my needs anyways cause thats all i wanted to paint.
