Default Fuse troubles

ok so on my trip back from south fl. i stopped at a rest stop, and when i got back in the car i went to turn on my headlights and they wouldn't turn on. the yellow corner lights work and if i pull back on the headlight stalk my high beams work but they **** off a lot of people while driving[8D] i checked the fuse box but they all seem to be fine. isn't there antoher set of fuses? where can i locate them and does anyone know which fuse would be causing this? o and the middle little computer on the dash is out too, so im guessing its the same fuse. its a 98 1.8TQM btw

Could be a bad bulb, but seems kind of strange for both of them to go at the same time.

ya i checked all those but aren't there a set of bigger fuses under the dash or sumthin? those got wet a while back and caused my secondary fan to go out so im assuming the same happened with another fuse

I think the high beams are another bulb. I am trying to remember, but it seems like when my left headlight went out, the brights still worked, but not the low beam.

I can check for you when I get home, I'll look it up in the Haynes and look at my headlamps. Mines a 97 1.8 so we should be the same.

Still, both sides going at the same time sounds like some kind of relay. I'll check back later, if no one has answered it for you I should be able to help more once I get to the manual.
