comparing them i would say that the quattro was ALOT lighter, which i didnt like at all..
i also noticed that my 12v fwd had ALOT more "grunt" to her. his 30v was a tinny noise and my 12v was a nice low pitch noise from the engine...
personely i prefered my fwd 12v by a mile!!!...
if you WANT to learn to drive propperly in bad wheather like snow then get a fwd. you'll learn how to handle your car better in a fwd then a quattro.

idiot, my point of view! did i say quattro owns fwd or 30v owns 12v?? no i did not! jump down my neck why dont you, i compered the two cars i drove and i (as in ME) prefered my fwd 12v over the 30v quattro. jesus!

Deffinetly try to get Quattro. It not only helps offroad, it helps in the rain, and cornering in the dry weather.

an audi without quattro is a VW, which is why i drive only quattro otherwise id get a VW. and the FWD on audis is the same as VW since their the same company.

Well you can argue with it... An Audi is an Audi, FWD or Quattro. Obviously missing out on Quattro would suck... most of us here opted for it because of that opinion.
But in Europe, most Audis are FWD... and yet people still buy them.
If you think Quattro is the only thing that sets our cars apart from VW, then why didn't you buy a 4motion passat?

I found a cheap A4...
Also, 4motion passats didn't come with a manual trans - go do some research.

Audi has a lot going for it but I fail to see the use of a FWD Audi when AWD is more desirable in pretty much every way
