Wow, there is a technical service bulletin on the front control arms?

Someone should get the word out.

It's been out for a few months now. SlimChriz posted a copy of the letter a while back I think. It's for the lower control arms. You can go to the dealer and get a free inspection done. This aplies to like 95-2000 A4's I think.

Free inspection meaning, the guy looks at your car, says "hey the wheels are still on" and send you on you way, or do they acutaly care?

Well it is a safety recall. I would hope to god that they cared. If you don't feel confortable, I guess you could take it for one of those free inspections at a independant shop. Ask specifically.

Well they are obligated to replace them if there is play in the joint.

No luck in that for me then, Although I need to get the tierod ends done. Any suggestion.

Is this for all a4's or just for 1.8t or 2.8?
I have 00 A4 2.8, quattro. Because I have been having issues
