87 octane? You might as well siphon in a little water, while you're at it! For that matter, you could use your gas tank as a port-a-potty for those long road trips when you have to p a lot. (j/k) but seriously, the price difference is a grande latte at Star*ucks....a pack of smokes....a night at the 25 cent arcade.... the possibilities are endless!

 

Regular (89) is for cheap Japanese cars andyour grandma's old Ford Taurus..
Don't use it in anything German. EVER! Just ask one.

I run a 2.8 and always use 93. I rarely if ever even see 91. Is it even that common?

$2.89 for premium isless than 89 regular in LI and NYC.
At that price, you should be happy to put the premium in your tank.

 

I went to get gas in my new 2 me 98 A4,it said in the gas door 91 or better(91 minimum) i thought it was mest up 4 a mintue until i realized that i was getting awesome milage so i understand the car needs good fuel and it will perform well with it and is built to take better fuel and built to run well with it and produce efficiant mpg....

I use this site all the time. You can build your route to work (kind of a pain in the @$$ since the true function isn't available yet) & find the cheapest on that route.

And - sorry to some of you but - do not worry about buying at the same place all the time. Problem with this is that your local BP, Sams, whatever does not even buy from the same distributor every time. This is straight poop from a few friends in the biz (this is Houston so you can't light a cat on fire without singing the cuffs of somebody in the gas industry). The stations (or rather the parent companies of the stations) go out weekly or daily & bid out their gas needs. Don't forget a "BP" station is not owned by BP - it is owned by a guy that lives in your local gated community who is under no obligation to buy his gas from BP!
