Much of the evap system is underneath the spare tire well in the trunk. If you smell gas there, check that area first, check the hoses and fittings for wear or breakage.

Also it could just be that the gas cap isn't sealing properly.

Another common problem with the EVAP is the N80 valve next to the airbox under the hood, but if you smell gas in the trunk area, that's where I'd check first.

I have the same code, but no CEL, so it's on my to-do list to check it sometime.

Just the code, no smell. I think it might be my N80 or my gas cap...
