Default gauge installation

hey guys just purchaced a boost gauge for my 98 1.8t qu. now on the instruction manual it says to either screw an adapter into the manifold or tap the vacume line. does any one know if i have to tap the vac line directly or is there one where i can screw it in on the manifold? or, which would be even better, does someone have a link to an install setup.

just put a t fitting in the vacume line to the fuel pressure regulator. Or a link to a good install guide http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng32.shtml

you can use a T fitting and jump off any vaccum hose that goes to the intake manifold.

I read somewhere (Audizine?) not to tap off of the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. The write-up said if there is a vac leak it will cause the engine to run lean. Running lean can lead to nasty things such as burned pistons.
