Im getting my K04 in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone with a 1.8t A4 have this upgrade and have dyno results? I know what AWE says it produces but I would like to see real world numbers.

 

IT depends on the supporting mods you have

 

Lets just say exhaust and drop in intake filter.

 

well i believe with that, you should pull 250 ish crank horse power. which translated roughly to about 200 wheel horse power which is what a dyno will give you.

But again, those are only estimates.

 

200 wheel hp from an upgraded turbo...booo....not worth it. Save for a complete kit so you can get at least 260-270.

 

with a well running motor to start, you should be able to squeeze 270-280 MAX. This is with a good exhaust, test pipe, pc16 or j31 file, intake and a few odds and ends. a k04 can run 13.8s which put them in that power range.

 

When you have one car thats a daily driver and a tight budget, that K04 turbo upgrade is worth it I think. That reliability factor is kind of important!!

 

u should also get a FMIC to get the full potential

 

not even 250. maybe if hes lucky. and alot less WHP. he has to get full suporting mods in order to get to 200WHP

 

fmic and fuel injectors are part of this project as well. Might have to sell a kidney to make all this happen, but oh well.
