Default GIAC - 10 sec. before, 10 sec. after

So i've had my GIAC for a little over a week now. It's felt faster, but i finally decided to test it. Prior to the chip, I consistently ran 10 second 0-60's. This afternoon, I did a few runs of 0-60, and guess what - still 10 seconds. No improvement at all.

Any thoughts?

you should be running faster than 10 sec 0-60's stock, let alone chipped.

Just using a stopwatch. I'm not too concerned with how i'm measuring it - or whether 10 secs. is accurate or not. I'm only interested in the difference between chipped/not chipped. In other words, I used the same method of timing both before the chip, and after the chip - and the time is exactly the same. I just don't understand how that can be. I thought the chip would make a difference of at least 1 second.

Make sure all the variables are as constant as they can be(driving uphill vs. downhill, how much gas, air conditioning on/off etc) I have your exact car except a 2002 and with the APR chip instead of the GAIC... and my 0-60 is in the mid to high 7's. measured on a stopwatch. The easiest way I found was to take a video on my cellphone of the speedometer. If you do that you can see almost exactly how long it took but comparing what you are seeing to a timeline. I would try again with that in mind, and if you get the same results... check for a boost leak.
(mine is a tiptronic too btw)

Wow - high 7's? Were you holding the brake while revving up when you started? That's crazy. Can APR be that much better than GIAC?

And yes, everything is constant - everything is exactly the way it was when i got 10 secs. pre-chip.

When I had just GIAC and no other mods like the test pipe/exhuast, etc. I timed about 7.5-8 seconds for 0-60mph. I am tip too, so I think you may have a boost leak, or maybe youre in limp mode.. But you really need a boost gauge to verify a leak if nothing is obvious.

I hit 0-60 with all the mods in my sig in

The low 8's now, high 7's give or take..

I'm awaiting my boost guage to see if I even have a leak or so... But I'm about to do heavy maintenance on my car really soon I bet my car will run super good after all that, then I'll let you guys know again.
