sounds like both scotts custom and rckks96 have boost leaks. you would notice the boost leak if you had it, you would hear more air rushing out than normally and there would be sub-par power (especially after 3-4k) when i had my boost leak i ran 8-9 second 0-60's and now i run high 6's
damn, I better check for boost leaks then... i wanna be in the high 6s

high sixes is pretty damn respectable in a 3500+ lb car. what mods do you have?
k04, giac, forge dv, evoms intake, eurocode testpipe, 2.5" exhaust w/ single borla muffler

my best was 6.89 but it's not a very accurate way to measure so i dunno. i wana get one of those things that measure 1/4 mile, 0-60, etc... so i can know what i run for sure

Oh, one other thing I thought of - I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah - where the altitude is about 4,500 feet. Could that have an effect on speed/power/boost/etc.?

An update. I replaced the DV with an Evo DV, and had a boost leak check done. They found 2 very minor leaks - probably weren't causing much of any performance issues - and said everything else looked great.

So I had them do the 380cc injectors and the GIAC FX flash.

It feels stronger, but man, i'm still around 10 seconds in the 0-60. This is driving me crazy!

Question - is it bad to floor it from a dead stop in a tiptronic? can that flood the engine? Could that be the problem with my 0-60 times? Because I have to say it feels great when I'm driving around, but when i do the 0-60 test, it doesn't feel so great - and maybe it's because i'm just mashing the gas from a dead stop.

Any thoughts?

Possibly could be. I don't have a hip, but I do notice that if I go about 3/4 of the way on the gas until I hit boost then mash it I will accelerate a littl faster. Or at least it seems like it. IDK. Try that and see what happens.

Yeah, that didn't do much. I'm still around 10 seconds. 380 injectors, giac fx, and i can't even break 10 seconds.

i'm wondering if i just threw $1,200 bucks down the drain...i'm very discouraged right now. grrr...
