ORIGINAL: A4Tuner.
lol, sorry but thats pretty funny. you shouldve known that and if i was you i would play hell with the people that put your new chip in becuase they shouldve known it was already chipped aswell, instead of you waisting a sh*t load of money.
Well, it was 'flashed' - i have a b6. So the GIAC dealer wouldn't have known if it was flashed before.

Low density altitude will definitly effect it.

Check if you can& see which program you are running. When I left the dealership after getting flashed, they said it was in the pump mode, but was still actually in the stock mode but felt a little stronger because of the dv change, & I didn't realize ituntil I checked myself. I felt disappointed with the flash until I switched programs. Still only spike at 16psi, but the difference is definitely noticable, & if I have a minor leak I only welcome the increase in performanceafter I find it.

I've vag'd it, and it's requesting 2300mbar (which is the max for the FX program). I hit maybe 2100 briefly, then drop steadily - basically average about 1800 mbar.

I've also had 2 boost leak tests done - so i'm pretty sure there's no leak.

I'm pretty sure it's just the combination of altitude, no fmic/exhaust, and being a tiptronic.

I think the FMIC is a big culprit, since there's much more power when i first drive it. Then as it warms up, it loses some power.
