Im looking for a GIAC dealer that can help me out. I have a soldered stlye chip thats not attached to an ECU and i want to upgrade to a flash program on my 03. I cannot find a shop that will do this. Isnt there a full retail exchange for the upgrade, with a labor fee?? Maybe i misunderstood the policy, but i would like to put the chip to good use. If anyone knows a shop, or is a dealer themselves let me know.

Well according to GIAC it has to be still on the ECU.

So it seems like unless you have the original ECU your stuck paying for a new tune. BTW, what happened to the old ECU?

All socket to flash upgrades must be done via mail order at GIAC. To be eligible for an upgrade to flash, the ECU must be sent to GIAC directly with the original socket still installed in the ECU.
