Well I don't know about the loss in boost but the lag down low is a factor. I think if you feel you MUST spend hundreds of dollars on an intake a carbino would be the best bet!

Don't waste your time.....another guy with an a4 and an upgraded turbo(2871r I believe) tested this, by dynoing before and after his carbino intake. Running 23lbs of boost, he put down like 299whp with the stock airbox and 300whp with the carbino......

So in my opinion, it is not even worth it. One wheel hp is not worth more than about ten bucks to me......but just my two cents. I will try to find the guys post and dyno sheets that did this......

There have got to be other mods you could do with the money.

The carbino will look nice but wont do much. Get a k/n type drop in and be done with it until your bigger turbo needs the different intake.

How about a better dv? Upgraded brake pads / steel lines? Racing springs? Snub mount?

Just seems to me the carbino is not worth it. I wont argue it probably looks nice for some under the hood "bling".

I would look for other mods that have more benefit, or put it toward an even bigger upgrade.

The Carbonio is deff the best, but are you chipped yet? If not, that's what I would do first.

How about some wheels to go with that suspension.

I think you should buy these

They are pretty, and they are prob a little too expensive for me right now. I know I said I was makin some money, but not that much. I'll prob have enough for chip and MAYBE suspension by the end of july.

That's cool. The car seems to be coming along nicely. Keep an eye out in the classifieds, and try and save yourself some money.
