The air will follow the path of least resistance most likely and exit into the atmosphere.

Hasn't the whole DV/BOV thing been stomped into the ground already?

LOL, I just realized I missed a huge no-no with that y fitting. If you have a y fitting so that air can go either out to the atmosphere or back into the intake system you gave yourself a nice boost leak.

oh ya....good point...hah

but i just dont understand why it would run sh!tty with it not recircing

You need a valve that doesnt vent at idle, and being AEB engine, you also need one that isnt 100%vta. The newer engines can adapt better for the missing boost that the ecu is expecting to be recirculated. You really need to take an hour or so and just read the stickies. They are stuck to the top for a reason.

i didnt know it vented at idle...

and now tht im on 13-14psi, i can hear it when shifting or putting in the clutch...
