Default Which good aftermarket pedals offer better grip than the stocks??

Hey, I've become a little frustrated with my foot ocassionally slipping off the brake and or gas pedal(s) when they or the sole of my shoe is wet, snowy or icy. This doesn't happen too often but is extremely annoying when it does and potentially dangerous and damaging. Any siggestions on a good set of pedals that would provide better grip without lookign absolutely cheap or rediculous, and without requiring modification to install? I'd rather pay a hefty price for a good pair then to alter my car for some aftermarket ****. Help much appreciated.

I thoguht it was ECS that offers a set but I just checked their site and they don't have it there. I tried to use the ones from my Z but the Audi's pedals are super thick and there's no way. If you get them, they have to be A4-specific (or at least Audi-specific). Someone I checked out (I think it was one of the known vendors here) offered pedals for around $63/set for the manual cars. They looked nice and appeared to be functional. For the life of me I can't remember who it was, but they are out there and you don't have to fork over a ******** to afford them (I've seen them from companies like Hamann Motorsports, but they were around $350 a set - sorry, but I'm not into being raped). Search the web though - Google will probably find them for you.

^^Lol. I was actually thinking of that, but was hoping it would be a last resort because the concept of having 'a driving shoe' to change into when I get in my car seems a little obsurd. However, the Pumas are a good look!! I did a search before I made the original post and came across some discussion of those AWE pedals but I understand that they require quite a bit of cutting, shaping etc. to install, and I'm not so sure about making permanent changes for such a thing. I was trying to avoid the whole aluminum, "race pedal", "honda-look" too, but most aftermarkets seem to have that look to them. Anyone with a little more insight/review of the AWE's?...I think its between them and the shoes. Thanks for all the help- much appreciated.

I personally think the stock pedals are great, if they've changed after certain years, I wouldn't know.

However, it seems like the people who have problems installing the AWE pedal covers weren't using the proper/quality tools, and searching confirmed this. Anyway, I don't have the pedals so I can't be of much help. Cincy gives good advice, you may want to look into TT pedals. Good luck.
