Is this a good deal?
Hello people,
I have a 1999.5 Audi A4 1.8T. I just called to see about a GIAC chip and he quoted around $650-$700 for a GIAC (they'd have to take my ECU out and send it and get it back- I can also change to "normal" status if I want to) installation, as well as a Bailey diverter valve and installation. Seemed pretty good considering the Bailey runs $159 w/o installation. How much better is the Bailey than the diverter valve from the TT? Is there a noticeable difference or should I go with the $40 one?
Thanks

If you've got infinite $$$ then you should take advantage of that deal. Otherwise you should look around and get the chip for $400 and the DV for $40 and install it yourself. I think it's a 10 minute DIY job.
