Is this a good price?????
Hello!
I am a new mom and in search of a new car (well at least new to me!)
I am also a student so my finances are tight and only allow me to spend so much on a car.
I am looking at a
2001 AUDI A4 4 DR 1.8T AVANT QUATTRO TURBO AWD WAGON
Here are the specs:
Model #:
8D55M5
Mileage:
86,070
Engine:
1.8L I4
Trans:
Automatic
Exterior:
Silver
Interior:
Gray
Drive Type:
AWD
The delearship is asking 8,031
Is this something I should persue.....if yes..anything I need to ask the delearship regarding this make and model????
Thanks SOOO much!!!

Well, I would say the price for the vehicle looks decent and fair.
What I see as the problem though is that, you are a new mom and a student. From your info, this means you won't have a strong financial base for the Audi. This isn't really a must, but it does help.
An Audi at that kind of mileage should have had the T-belt and the waterpump changed. If this wasn't done on the car, it should be done before the 90k mark. This will cost you another 500-800 at a private shop, or as much as 1k-1.5k at a dealership.
This forum was invaluable regarding information for when I got my Audi, and I'm sure if you need anything else, there is more than enough information to help you out!
Good luck with your decision

yeah, thats a good price.
Just be aware these cars need a fair amount of maintenance, and will last long if its kept up with. I am assuming you wont be working on it yourself, so thats definitly something to consider. Its no Honda, it wont just run forever if you change the oil. And the audi dealers really charge way too much.
If you know of a decent import shop you can rely on for repairs/maintenance, then go for it.
