Got into it with a 350Z.......and notice some things
i am also a huge NISSAN/IFINITI fan, most of my family drive nissans and the VQ engine is one of the best around over 10 years being on the top 10 best engine list
the altima and the 350z have nuthin in common besides the a detuned VQ35DE, but the Altima and the Maxima share the same chassis now and are built in america[&o][&o][&o][&o]
and i dont think u should go anything bigger the nthe K04 because the tip tranny is weak and u might blow ur tranny

Yes, I love the VQ motors. I think they're one of the best out there. I hope he gets his fueling on track. I would hate to know he blew that motor sky high.

yea, I realize that fairlady's were their own entity, but the VQ isnt a bad motor.. though th SR20DET (i think) is nice.
His problem right now is fueling... the current APS/UTEC i think.. programing cannot flow the fuel he needs, so boost tapers at redline..
he bulit his motor with either 8/or 8.5 compression.... I should really tell him to up his boost... since lower compression motors handle boost better...
but like i said his problem is fueling.. and he should be able to push over 500WHP when APS sends out the upgraded fuel kits.

Oh he wont blow it, his AFR's are good, but the software he uses cant scale injectors, so he either needs new injectors or a new piggyback software, i dont remember which.
He has a fully built lower end , with 8.5 comp i think... its not going to pop... he was tuned by GRD in chicago, they know their stuff...
I think hes running somewhere in the 13-14PSI range for those turbos (way below efficiency) and I think that with a good fuel system , and a good tune.. he could push 550WHP
the 350z is so crappy at making power its not even funny..
it makes at the most 500hp at the wheels and then the engine blows cause it cannot withstand the power.
so dont go waste your money on a car that much when you can find a better more reliable car that can make 4 times the power a 350z could ever make
