because oregon law states that when someone else is driving ur car and it gets wrecked the owner is responsable, gay huh? but seriously if i wrecked someones car i would pay for the damages, that would just be the right thing to do regardless of what the law reads.

IDK, just tonight i sat down with him. originally the idea was for him to pay everything. then he thought i should pay half. then he found out about the oregon lay and now all he is willing to do is pay my deductable. he is like my best friend, so i dont plan on hurting him, i just wish he would be more matuer and responsable about the situation. i hope this doesnt ruen our friendship but right now im pretty pissed off, maybe ill feel better about the situation in a few weeks.

If it was me he would go from best friend, to enemy. Thats messed up, I'm not a big guy but if that happened to me I'd damage my "best friend" pretty good

 

Your fault for letting him drive it, knowing the Oregon laws. This is one of those things thats going to build your decision making skills as an adult. If he was a good friend though, he would be willing to pay for all of it. If I were you, Id be more selective of who is a close friend, and more wise to know the consequences of "the worst that could happen" in any situation. On the other hand, I'd kill his ***.
