Guage cluster light came on?
I have a 98 A4 2.8 which I've owned for about 2months now. I've already had the digital display crap out on me since I've owned the car. When I bought it, it had 72K on it. I've only put about 1K since then. Today when I started it up, I had an orange light in the RPM guage pop up, and looks like a water faucet with a lightning bolt throught it with the words 'check.' The temp guage and oil temp were both reading normal so I just assumed it was malfunctioning like I've had w/ previous cars. Can anyone tlel me if this is the coolant or oil guage, and whether I should be concerned about ? BTW, I plan on taking my car to have the the oil changed as well as the T-belt changed within the month. Thanks for thelp and the suggestions are appreciated.
I called the Stealership to set up a time to have the oil changed and the light diagnosed. I explained the light to the guy on the phone and told him my other engine temp and oil temp guage were both normal. He told me to just make sure all the fluids, coolant esp. are all topped off. Where is the coolant resoirver take located on my 98 A4 so I can check it out? Thanks for the help.
