2002 AUDI A4 1.8T QUATTRO
does anyone know if there's a big difference between installing a test pipe or if i just gut the cat? will the power gain and results be the same? would u still be able to pass emissions with a test pipe or gutted cat? thank you for your input

No your not going to pass emisions with either.. I suggest a testpipe over a gutted cat. But if your low on money and want the engine bay to look stock gut it.

My cats are being replaced at the stealership right now along with my Mass Air Flow sensor. Why are you wanting to do this? If the CAT is bad, Audi will replace it up to 77,000 miles.

Will I notice a change in performance for the better after the CATS and the sensor is replaced?

No replacing the cats probably wont give you much more performance wise but gutting them or a test pipe is supposed to give you an extra 10 hp or some with faster spoolup
