I am not a huge fan of coilovers. I can see myself spending $1300 for coilovers and never adjusting them. I would rather lower the car a little attempting to decrease some body roll and increase some of the steering response. I am also considering buying a new sway bar for the rear, but I do not want to get to stiff and hear things in the car coming loose.

Screw $1300...try $140 for ECS coilovers. http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...%20Coil%20Over

yea ecs sells a cool coilover conversion kit. it just slips over bilstein shocks. its what ive got and i know if i didnt have them i wouldnt be happy with my ride height. as for adjusting the fronts are easy but the rear can be a bit tricky because its a tight fit. but in the ultimate situation you would be able to adjust height and damper w/ a co set up.

I think you can order the Bilstein shocks with groves so you can get a bit of adjustment, like maybe .5" Not really for more of a drop but just so you can get it sitting closer to the way you want.

Coilovers are not just for adjustment...

they are matched springs and shocks, tuned for eachother...

the best coilovers have more adjustability.. I.E. Bilstein PSS9 Coils.. I think they are 8 ways adjustable.. height, rebound, dampning, shock, blah blah..

For most a shock/spring combo is enough... if you plan to track then get coils

For those of you who have lowered you cars do you still take them to the snow? im worried about not having enough clearance to go. i was thinking coilovers because i could lower it in the spring and raise it in the winter. do you think thats a stupid idea?
