Hard cold start - Already changed coolant sensor... no difference. Help a new member?
Car: 1998 a4 2.8 Quattro
Hey there guys, I'm new to the forum, I usually frequent turbobricks.com but my wife and I just bought an A4 to enjoy. Hope to make good friends here and return the support the best I can.
Our car has a hard start issue in the morning. It takes 7 to 8 seconds of cranking for it fire up when cold, but when warm, it fires right up.
Armed with a decent amount of knowledge, I changed out the coolant temperature sensor with a new Meyle one. It didn't make a difference.
My temperature gauge worked before, and it still works now.
Only issue is, the cold start issue persists. Anywhere else to look?
