Hello,

Today my battery died on my 02 A4. Piece of cake, right. I took off all the plastic pieces and disconneted the cables so I could get a replacement but the battery wouldn't budge from its bay. I started to muscle it out and quit so I wouldn't break something. What is keeping the battery locked down? I was unable to locate exactly what it was. I need my car operational but I don't want to waste money for a dealer to swap out a simple battery. Thank you for your help in advance.

 

isn't there a plate holding it down at the bottom?

 

yea there should be a little bolt thing that holds it in at the bottom

 

Thanks guys, I finally got it into my garage where there was some decent light and found what was holding it down.
