you put the GT71R on teh 1.8T the GT is the T its a BT setup, itll be neck and neck until he reaches his top end i htink audi has higher speed but getting there will take some time

 

uhh...you put the gt2871 on your 1.8T...along with all of the supporting mods...then you will be able to SMOKE a 5.0...

for the price of the BT setup you could buy a 90's muastng 5.0...lol...well, good luck w ur BT project...let us know how it goes!

a 1.8t will need a whole load of work to keep. however, if u got money, get an s4 wid a 2.7t and do some custom work. u'll be able to beat the 5.0 but not smoke it. these 2 cars are totally in different classes. our's is a sports luxury. the other is an american muscle. but a german muscle like the r8 should smoke it.

 

why does everyone think they're so fast? i used to own a 92 GT 5.0. they are monsters off the line (come stock with over 300 ft lbs of torque and weigh way less) but their high end ain't impressive. my buddy up in tallahassee also has a 92 GT 5.0 hatch and we run them all the time. off the line i cant beat him but i stay close to his *** the whole way. then when i hit mid 3rd gear i start pulling and im about a car lengths ahead of him at mid 4th gear. after that he just gives up cause i keep pulling while he does not.

so to SMOKE a 5.0 you would need a BT, but to beat them you only need a k04 with a few mods.


oh and wut the hell is a gt71r?? there's a 2871r and a 3071r. a gt71r would be huuuuge

 

maybe they want a huge turbo for a huge engine explosion lol

 

5.0's are not as fast as people make them out to be. (stock)

My GTP would hang with them till the last 75ft. which is when the stang would just inch up by a bumper. The GTP was good for 14.7sec 1/4 and the5.0's I was racing supposedlyonly had exhaust.

 

just about every german car is made more for the twisties and high speed travel than just straight line performance. if you want real power upgrade to a S4 and get twinn k04s tune it to about 350-400+ and debadge it, then tell people your running a chipped 1.8t with exhaust. it will definetly put a smile on your face.

 

Why would you want to lie about your engine/mods?

Oh yeah! Youre the guy who put an S4 badge on your 12v!!! [8D]
