LOL.
That quattro you were looking at on craigslist keeps dropping the price, now down to 9500, bet you could get it for 9k.
Thanks for the heads up, but I think Ive decided to wait until this one is paid off (hopefully by next year) and then hand it over to the wife, sell the maxima, and get what I want. I was wanting to just pay cash for a new/used one, but that aint gunna happen anytime soon due to the job situation. I look forward to the day when 2 Audis sit in my garage with "HIS" and "HERS" tags! jk

Whne it boils down to it, whats hers is hers and whats yours is hers, so technically they will have "hers" and "hers" tags?

Am I right or am I right?

I have a question. Not to change the subject off mustangs but.....

My friend has an '01 A4 2.8L and I have and '05 1.8t(both 100% stock). (Didn't the HP of the '05 get increased since the '01 model?)Anyways, he says he'll "smoke me" if we race.I realise that he'll probably win becuase he has a bigger engine, but would he actually "smoke me" or would i be able to hang with him??
well given that both are 100% stock and quattro with same transmission.

i would say it will be extremely close. the 1.8t is only a merely 32lbs heavier than the 2.8. and the 2.8 has a bit more power also. the 1.8t will have a slightly better top end(80mph+).. all in all, the 2.8 will probably be slightly ahead..

but, there is only one way to find out man [sm=gears.gif]
Aren't the B6's a few hundred pounds heavier too? The 2.8 has the power and weight advantange.
yes, they arebut, the 2.8 engine is also a few hundred pounds heavier than the 1.8t engine is. acording to AW, they are only 32 lbs in difference

2005 Audi A4 1.8t Quattromanual - 3406 lbs
2001 Audi A4 2.8t Quattro manual - 3384 lbs
