Default Head unit

Here's the latest I blew up my stock headunit 99.5 non bose head unit I have a Sony siiting at home I did research the archives and saw I needed an PAC-OEM-2 unit to convert output from radio to line level for stock amp is this true or is there anything else I'm going to need to wire the aftermarket head unit. My main question is if I add the head unit in with the interface will it work with my stock speakers or do I need to replace the stock speakers and rewire the stereo.

or does anyone have an audi concert head unit laying around, or I think I might wait till next week and order all new speakers and head unit and rewire the whole car.

Just wondering because i am doing a project that i need the factory radio buttons for and it would be nice if i could buy a broken one. If u could post a pic or if u no of anywhere on line that has a pic that matches your radio i might be interested in giving u some money for it instead of u just throwing it out

Yeah, I am sure you can change the stock head unit, and get it to work... but there is some trick involved with getting the stock amp to work... just ask a stereo shop that has done one of our cars before, any reputable shop should be familiar. I went and changed everything, so I dont know whats involved in JUST changing the HU... -- but yes, it can be done.
