So i just talked to lltek.com about getting new headlights that i can put an HID kit on. The guy told me that if i were to buy the single headlights that are made for HID lights that they wont work with a seperate kit because they are designed for only the Xenon ligths that they sell with the assemblies which are something like a ds2 ballast? not sure what that means. So my question is, does he know what he is talking about or is he just BSing to get me to buy the entire package which costs $1111! Its the 2 piece euro projector headlights for my B5.

 

i personally would look into one piece lights........ but vvme should be able to sell you a hid kit for your car/headlight, fits in where the h's go

I know the HID's are direct plug-in units but I'm not sure if you NEED the one piece headlights to have HIDS...I'm sure you'll find your answer here but even if you need the 1 piece units, $1,100 sounds rediculous.

Acutally it's the 1-piece ub=nits that cost you but you can do it for less. Just go with the ecodes

The single beam HIDis $55 and the double is like $95.....shipped if I'm not mistaken.

The more I think about it actually, I'msure you're fine with the lights you have....Tell that sales guy toEat a Bag of
SH%T with his price and order them from vvme and get it over with. lltek is more expensive for everything.

 

if you want a cheap soloution... get the depo one piece ecodes from ebay.. non xenon ready, and then order your vvme h7 kit

I would pass on the halos and get a set of depos. I'm really happy with mine. However, if you really like the look of the halos, you'll need to send a message to the seller and ask them if they are designed to be HID compatible. Most aren't. If they advertise having a special design that accommodates an HID ballast, you'll know that they are HID compatible.

 

Those are Depo brand. also, if i get regular H7's i dont have to worry about melting or anything with an HID kit right
