HEADLIGHT PROBLEM POST W/ PICS...THE PICS WORKED ON THIS ONE
so i got a new set of e-codes for my 96 A4 2.8Q and started taking the old headlights out and ran into a few problems
Look at these pictures below and ill explain....
1. I removed the top four torx screws.

2. I removed the turn signal assembly fine and then tried the remove the front headlight but it wouldn't even move.

3. Then I found this screw and thought that this might loosen the headlight up so i could slide it out. But my problem was that the bumber was in the way for my screwdriver to fit in there. What should i do. Do i even need to remove this screw or does it stay. Anything is helpful, thanks everybody.

The screwdriver isn't gonna sit flush but the angle should be good enough to remove it. They are designed the same on all b5s I don't see why yours would be any different. You could also try using a 1/4 torx socket with a ratchet or even with a swivelhead extension. If all else fails take off the bumper, I don't see that happening though. Good luck.
