Can I swap out the 2 piece headlight for the 1 piece xenon style? I'm sure they bolt up and all but is the xenon a HID that requires special stuff? I just want to swap the two with OEM parts.

 

if you want HIDs, then yes, there will be ballasts that you'll have to mount somewhere...if you just want the one-piece projectors, you can get standard halogen projectors. either way there will be minor fender trimming involved

 

So the stock 1 piece headlight is'nt HID? I just dont care for the 2 piece look....Are yours stock HID? cuz the 99 I'm after did'nt get them..........Thanks

 

I think some of the stock ones were but not alot it was an upgrade, but you can always replace them

 

mine are not HID, just the standard halogens...in '00 they started offering HID as an option, but not many B5s have it. if you just want to get rid of the nasty old 2-piecers, like me, than you just need standard housings. expect to pay about 200-250 for a decent used set on ebay.

What kind of work would it take to get them in? Will the stock wireing work or do the HID's pull more current? I mainly just want the 1 piece look....
