Default Headlight washers keep blowing fuse

During our last snow and ice storm, my winshield washer system died. The wiper blades worked, but the winshield sprayer failed.

Upon inspection, the fuse blew. I replaced the fuse and got the winshield sprayer to work, but if I turn the headlights on, which would allow the headlight sprayers to work, the fuse blows when I turn on the sprayers.

The tech at the Audi dealer said they could have frozen down, but I don't see why they would stay that way, as I park in a garage.

He also said the pump could be failing.

I am out of warranty so I am not eager to bring it in for repair. Is there any way to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Sounds like the pump for the headlight washer. You can either disconnect the pump, replace it,

Is the pump easy to replace? A do it yourself job?

How would I disconnect it?

Thanks for your help!

I was going through the same problem. Just wait until it warms up a bit
