Quick question - the heated mirrors on a B5 A4 are supposed to turn on when the rear defroster is activated right? I've heard some say that's the case, and some say that they come on with the seat heaters (defroster makes more sense though). I assume my car has the heated mirrors (it has the cold weather package, and I have the typical discoloration along the mirror edges), but the mirrors don't heat. I have read that sometimes it's crimped wires causing the problem, and I'm hoping that's not it. But am I right that they're supposed to come on when the rear defroster is activated?

 

i thought it was with the defroster and if its not working my guess would be there is a broke wire somewhere
