I have a '96 audi A4 and the heated seats dont work any more! Occasinally they will work for a day then not work for a month or so! Has any one had this problem? Isthere a loose connection somewhere or fuse issue? Oh and I did use the SEARCH came up with NOTHING usefull...

 

Does it happen with both front seats? If the fuse blew it woudn't work twice. I would pull out the radio, then the a/c control head and check the connections behind it and see if the connectors are loose. If they aren't its probably a bad a/c control head which has the heated seat switches inside it.
If you have an older model A4 where the switches are seperate from the a/c control head replace the switches.

 

I havent checked if the passanger seat heats up or not, just the drivers seat. I havea '96 A4 and the heated seat switch is the kind you spin from 0-5 (I think) and is above the sterio.

 

Ok then check to see if the passenger's side works ok, if it does chances are its just the driver's side switch thats faulty.

 

check the fuse?

 

Fuses don't magically come back to life FYI.

 

you probably put your knee down on the seat while you were grabbing somthing , and broke some coils...........
