heavy leakage under car between transmission
noticed smoke coming from bottom of 96 A4.
Stopped and all fluids and hoses were ok, so attempted to drive to the dealer and blew the transmission.
$3500 later new rebuild tranny.
3 months later same problem, heavy leakage between tranny and motor, fluids are good so assume what???
gearing is fine but I can't afford another tranny.
anyone with similar experience?
Any seals to be concern in between??
Thank you
for your help

My brother just had this done on his Altima. Speeding around, hit a dip in the road, scraped bottom of car, started driving funny, tried to drive it to somewhere he could stop (not middle of no where back road), and blew the tranny in a few miles because all of the fluid leaked out.
Trannys don't last long with no fluid.
If you had the tranny replaced 3 months ago, are you still under warranty? If so, get the car towed to the place that did the rebuild and see what they find. If its messed up, they will cover it.
If the warranty is up, I would actually recommend doing the same thing. Don't drive it anymore because you don't want to blow the tranny. There are a bunch of seals down there. If its not the tranny, you could still be blowing fluid out of the differentials etc. I am going to assume that you really aren't going to want to get into it and repair it yourself if you did find a bad seal, so be safe and get a shop to look at it.
