hello all, got a ? about certified preownd
A 2001 A4 1.8T has platinum spark plugs. NGK PFR6Q They should have been changed at the 40K mi service. The next spark plug change should be at 80K mi. At 60K dust and pollen filter should be replaced. Other than that change the oil and filter. Search the forum for recommended oils. The remaining things are checking fluid levels, look for leaks, Lubricate hinges and check lights, horn, wipers, exhaust and cooling systems.
Mr Bond,
You can sell your warranty back and buy a less expensive one. The extended warranty has nothing to do with the term CPO...that was done whe you hit 50k. But, the inspection is far different for an Audi CPO car. Trust that your dealer wants your business back! Before you sell your warranty make sure you can get a cheaper one from a good company. But know that an Audi dealer is not going to screw you on an Audi...maybe in a chevy. Just kidding. I can tell you this, high line auto dealers make most of there money for one thing; CSR score. You will probably be contacted by Audi very soon asking you how your experience went. Your answers matter greatly! The total score determines how much the dealer is rewarded by the Manufacturer. Some dealers, like the BMW/ Mercedes dealer I worked at would not have been in business where it not for this fact. They are a low volume dealer and the profit margin on new cars in not what people think.
I hope this helps. I am certain that the misunderstanding you had was just that.
Happy driving,

Hmm all this sheds lite on the whole deal of CPO. As this is what I have looked at. As for our Audi dealership no complaints. I have looked at several cars there and they have always been really nice to me. Even tho I do not talk of even buying anything.
As for the extended warranty. 1k for 2 years and 50k miles!!!! That would be a steal for me. I drive 20-30k a year and just now have my first vehicle with a warranty and I love not having to worry about it even if it means spending a little extra money.
