yeah, if you aren't in garage with a lift or in a warm climate with high jackstands and lotst of beer,ratchet extensionsand patience, don't even bother trying to do it yourself. It will take 2 hours on a lift compared to 5-6 hours on jackstands in a driveway, if you're that lucky.

How much do you think this will run me having a garage take care of the hassle? The down pipe will be replaced with a used oem replacement section so hopefully this will save me some money....??

i've taken mine off so many times i got it down. takes me about 20-30 minutes to unbolt those 6 bolts on my 2.8 (after its jacked up), but the first timei tried i was under there for about 2 hours trying to figure out how to reach them. then figureing out i had to take out the o2 sensor to reach the top nut[:@].

Yea I don't have a 2.8, I have a 1.8t so I dont know about the configuration. I do know the clearance is pretty tight on top for those bottom cat bolts. I would have never thought to get access at them from the bottom.
