he is charging you 2g for a cat?!?! tell me i read that horribly wrong

 

anyways ... anybody has anyidea on a part that wil cost 2g ??

 

no he didnt tell me he was chanign the cat for 2g .. he told myy dad the part i need for my car will cost me 2g .. but he didnt tell me what part . but i know my cat is messed up and my o2 sensor thats y i put the car there in the first place..

 

i wouldnt say that on the internet, you dont want someone to loose theire emmisions liscence.

call him and ask him exactly what he is changing. or needs to be fixed. them tell me the part and i will tell you if its bullshit or not

 

You need to talk to that mechanic and find out EXACTLY what he wants to do. I don't know much but I can almsot say with certainty that $2g is WAY too much for anything.

okay so today at 7:30 before i went to school i went there and told him what part cost 2g .. and he told me o your car has alot of problems i have a big list of problem and the more expensive parts are the Cat.. which i have to replace all 4 of there and they cost 1,600 ... i though audis only had 2 .. but i dunt know **** and then i told him then put aftermarket ones theyre 60 dollars... and he said i dont really know if i know how to put the aftermarket ones but im going to find and see if i can buy some used ones on the junkyard .. and i said okay cuz im not paying 1600 for a cat . and he also said that theres somethin wrong with my air central ... or central air box something like that dont really know the name guys but .. yeah i think hes bullshitting ..but it sucks cuz now 1 more week without my baby

 

just went over there again .. and he told me i need a Mass Air Flow Sensor .. which i just bought one form ebay lol... for 85 dollars .. he wanted to charge me 300 for a new one ..... and he told me he wants to do that first then hell see if i have to change my Cat...

 

Yea man just go HFC or test pipe (if you dont have emissions). That will be a HECK of a lot cheaper then the cat. And I thought our cars only had 1 cat and 2 mufflers? IDK. Just wondering.
