RE: help, how much power can my b5 handle?
Man this thread is full of misinformation.
First off, torque breaks stuff, not hp.
With that said, the stock rods can handle between 300-320ftlbs safely aslong as you dont have a massive torque spike in lower rpms. The stock pistons have made over 500+whp and dont need to be changed. The clutch would obviously need to be changed to handle power goals, so buy wisely. Cams do nothing for the car untill you are pushing high 300whp range, same goes for the intake manifold.
The reason Jeff was able to make so much power and run boost was because he ran a 50trim. The lag mixed with lower low end torque numbers made if far safer than running a gt turbo.
so if you are planing on going the apr kit, you just need to get a fmic and new clutch to go along with it. Everything engine wise will be fine.

as long as you have a k03 on there you wont need to upgrade any engine internals. anything past a gt2871r .64 ar (except for a gt2871r .86 ar) you will need to get some new connector rods, but thats it

the next person who says not to buy a stage 3 kit from APR, will be offically, yet unofficially rendered retarded. straight up man, apr's the best out. why do you think their ****'s so expensive?

cause they wont sell the parts/sw indiviually because they dont want a bad name when people have mismatched parts and sw and then complain about the tuning like they do about revo.
