Default Help: lightened flywheel

okay..I already put a post up regarding underdrive pulleys and cam gears and what to do..what about a lightened flywheel? I know the install would suck so I'd probably take it in to get it done..worth it? Any comments please feel free...the car's my B6 3.0

no lightweight flywheel I'm not 100% sure but our cars have dual mass flywheels and going to a lightweight will cause chattering

The dual mass flywheel is only used to dampen clutch engagement. It doesnt prevent chattering. The chattering comes from the clutch itself.

Stock dual mass flywheel will not chatter with an upgraded clutch, however reducing the flywheel mass 12-15lbs and using A single mass aluminum flywheel instead of a dual mass steel will cause chattering. The Dual Mass, has the ability to "dampen" the gear noise or vibration, along with the gear oil, to were it's not audible. Throw in a single mass lwfw that is aluminum and you will get chtter becuase it cant dampen it as well.
