i have a 97 audi a4 1.8t i just moved down to alabama from michigan and when i went to fill my car up on E when i started me car up it started sluggish and my check engine light came on. From this i thought i knocked something loose in my gas tank and plugged up my my fuel filter changed that no luck. I had a test ran saying i had a cylynder misfire so the i went and changed all of my plugs and still no luck then while my car was running i disconnected each coil pack to see what coil was bad doing this i found out that my 2nd coil was not reacting at alll changed that coil and still no connection so i brought the new coil back so now im thinking it might be my ignition mudule that is not working. Any suggestions?

 

Did you pull the code for the check engine light?

 

no they never gave me the code i was in a big hurry at the time all he told me was i had a cylynder misfire but i know its my second cylynder because when i disconnect the the coil the engine doesnt idle down
