Hey everyone,
I am stuck with a dilemma... I will have to leave for the mid-east for about 7-10mos. and I don't know what to do about my new baby. I am contemplating selling my 2004 Audi A4 so that it doesn't sit in storage for that time. I think I'd rather it went to a good home and was enjoyed by someone. If I were to sell it I'd probably come back and buy an S4. I have done a lot of mods to my "baby" and I take meticulous care of her. I was planning on doing a GT28RS turbo upgrade in the spring, but obviously that won't be happening, so now I have to make the hard decision of whether I should store it or sell her and get another Audi when I get back. If you were me, what would you do??? My signature shows what I have done to my car and she runs like a dream... I absolutely love driving her. When I got back on my last 2 mo. rotation, the first and only thing I wanted to do when I got back was drive my audi, and then I got 2 tires slashed the day after I got back in country (on my birthday no less!) Anyhow, I think I may end up selling it... what do you think? And if anyone is actually interested let me know that as well! Thank you all...

I dunno... you'd lose an assload of money if you sold it now, wouldn't you? Sounds like you've built a pretty nice car, which makes me want to suggest keeping it. But, you mentioned an S4... so if that's a possibilty, or perhaps a sure thing... then yeah, dump the a4, the s4 will not dissapoint.

 

i say sell it. just make sure to take off the parts that you put on it and sell them seperatley.

 

thats hard to say, ur a4 sounds nice so u would want to keep it, but u never know what will happen to it after not running for 7 months or so. BUt then u got a s4 and did a turbo upgrade u would never second guess taht decision. U may be better off if u decide to keep it to lend it to a friend (very trustworthy one) or a family meber to drive it every so oftern.

 

Put it in covered storage. Change the oil, make sure you have the radio code, remove the battery and put it on a one amp trickle charger.

 

dont u also want to put something in the gas like a long term storage thing for it? I know with my R/C car i had to do it if i wasnt runing it atleast once a month.
