i thought about what i can do let me guys know if itll sound like **** or if itll sound nice and deep. If i keep my stock cat stock downpipe then im guessing ill have to weld 2.25 inch piping from the cat back into a borla muffler. would that sound like ****? would it be TOO loud? would it sound ricy? is that even possible? you guys think i can have that done for about 400 bucks?

dude, i took my exhaust off except for the testpipe and the stock down pipe..in the low revs not on the gas at all..sounded ricey, but after i got on it and into the upper rpm's...no rice at all..just air escaping and alot of vibrations...you dont have to worry about ricey sounds.....

 

yeh but i really dont want that ricy tone on lower rpms:-\ like im considering what i said up there the stock cat/do stright 2.25 inch piping into the borla. or maybe i should add a second muffler (thats the resonator right?) iono i just want a really deep mean tone. ive heard a few gtis and jettas that sound pretty bad thats why im scard.

 

what i was trying to explain is that was w/o any muffler...you put a muffler on man...it wont sound that way at all........*common sense*....

 

yeh i get that thanks bro. but i remember reading some post on here where someguy had his uncle or someone do acustom exhaust for him and it was i think 2.25 inch piping with a magna flow muffler and he said it was extreamly loud and he had to put on a second muffler so it wouldnt be that loud. thats y im kinda like worried you know and ive heard my firends gti that thing literaly sounds like a lawnmower at ne RPM its like stright through into a magnaflow muffler you can hear that thing miles away.

 

my exhaust shop did my cat back exhaust for 100 bux + 200 for my magnaflow muffler. 300 all together, i took it off cuz it sounded horrible at low RPM's....once it got past 4500 rpm it sounded FREAKIN AMAZING, but it didnt fit my needs for the low RPM's. i just went back to stock, with nice duel chrome tips, and got an intake to gimme my sound. im 12v v-6 tho, so i dont know if your story will be the same.

i have a custum 3" catback dual bullet muffler. it has a nice tone at idle or cruzing. at wot it is loud and sorta deep. sounds realy good. i have a 12v also. i am going to go to a single cat soon like this exhaust pics lots of people like this whole exhaust system

yeh ur exhaust sounds really nice. Guys i went on http://techtonicstuning.com/ and i saw that they have front trac exhausts for the a4 and theres one that goes for $440 it looks like its made by borla any of you guys have any feedback on that exhaust. its a Aluminized Exhaust Audi A4 2wd i cant get the link for it but its there. What do you guys think i havent heard much about that exhaust well i havent heard ne thing about it you guys think its better if i just get that?
